Fast cash loans
"Fast cash" describes how quickly money reaches your account, not a type of credit contract. It is a speed, and speed is the part of a loan most often oversold.
It is a speed, not a product
Every loan we write is one of two credit contracts, and neither of them is called a fast cash loan. The name describes the experience of applying online and being funded the same day, which is what most lenders in this part of the market are competing on. Two lenders offering "fast cash" can be selling very different contracts at very different prices, so it is not a word that tells you much about cost.
What actually decides how fast you are funded
Three things, none of them the marketing. Whether your application can be assessed automatically or needs a person to look at it. Whether we can retrieve your bank statements straight away through the secure connection in the form, rather than waiting for you to send them. And your own bank, which controls when a transfer it receives actually appears in your balance.
Speed is not a reason to borrow
If the money is needed today, being funded today genuinely matters, and that is the situation this kind of lending is for. But a fast decision is still a decision to take on a debt at a cost you should see first. If the expense can wait a fortnight, waiting is almost always cheaper than borrowing.
This is a name for how a loan is delivered rather than a separate kind of contract. The amounts, terms and fees that actually apply, with a worked example of each, are set out on our loan types page.
